It’s apparently a colt year for our foals born at Liberty Meadows! Scion Arabians welcomes foal #10, a bay boy born yesterday, by Afires Heir out of Sagesse DEH (Pension x a Wisdom daughter), and we are very excited about his future. This is a big breeding year for us, and we could not have done it without the help of Ryan Strand’s amazing team. Only a few births left to report and we are so thankful for healthy, promising prospects from each breeding!

Well the colts still have the lead at 6 to 2, but Scion Arabians is thrilled to welcome another filly into the fold! Born one week ago in western Washington, our bay girl is by Prosuasion out of Solheire (Afires Heir x Apollopalooza daughter). With 4 more to go, will fillies even the score?

Today we met foal #7 who was born two days ago here in Washington. Yet another colt making our score 6 to 1, colts to fillies! He is a really big bay boy with four perfect whites and blaze. By Inception out of Heirabaska (Pension x Wisdom daughter).
Many thanks to the repro team at Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital and Maggie Clark for a successful delivery. Katie McGregor thanks for having us in your barn, and Kimberlee Van Etten, thanks for taking ongoing care of these foals. Gonna be fun! Onward, and hoping fillies even out the score for the balance of our foal expectations!

Scion Arabians’ foal #6 redirected our colt trend – it’s a filly! This lovely chestnut girl was born yesterday morning in the Pacific Northwest and is sired by Prosuasion out of our foundation mare, Fancy Afire (Afire Bey V x Flame Dancer). Outgoing personality and totally in your pocket. Eric and I got to meet her today and she was very eager to say hello! Fancy Afire is a wonderful mare and mom. We hope to share some additional birth announcements within the next week.

Wow – 5 out of 5 are colts!!! Welcome foal #5, a healthy chestnut purebred colt born yesterday in the wee hours at Liberty Meadows Training Center. He is our first bred from ROL Divine Style out of Fascinatin Rhythm DEH (Afires Heir x Sagesse DEH). Four whites! Ever grateful to Ryan Strand and company for his successful delivery. And to Hannah Messerli for the photo of him. It will be fun to watch this pretty boy unfold!

Foal #4 came four days early this morning! Our first Barcelona BF out of Heirabaska (Pension out of a Wisdom daughter)! A beautiful bay colt with tippy ears! I was so happy to still be in Kansas to greet him. Ryan – you and the Liberty Meadows team are just awesome – we’re so grateful!

Our third foal of 2023 is another half arabian chestnut colt – this one by Noble Braveheart out of our Afire Bey V daughter, Fancy Afire. It’s been lovely to be at Liberty Meadows Training Center to meet our colts in person. Sincere thanks again to Ryan and Elise Strand and the Liberty Meadows team for the successful delivery and care of these promising boys.

Scion Arabians welcomes foal #2 for the year, another chestnut half arabian colt sired by Art Of The Deal out of SV Starlite+/ (Aploz x Firelite DGL), one of our foundation mares. He also was born at Liberty Meadows Training Center, and we are so grateful to Ryan, Elise and the team there!
