We are very thrilled to welcome Shoc Exchange VH to Scion Arabians. He is a 4 year old Half-Arabian gelding, sired by SF Aftershoc and out of the Saddlebred mare Only Girl In Town. Thanks so very much to Vicki Humphrey for selling us this handsome young boy, and many thanks to Mike Whelihan and Rob Bick for the great teamwork and coordination in the purchase. “Devin” is on his way to Washington and we are looking forward to meeting him in person!

Scion Arabians is again pleased to be included in the Arabian Horse Times Breeder’s Guide for 2020 to be distributed at the Scottsdale horse show. We are so fortunate to be supported by Eagle Mountain Ranch, along with other professionals in the training and care of our herd.

So looking forward to showing the first boys of our purebred Arabian breeding program, Pensions Guaranty DEH and Defined Benefit DEH, in Scottsdale again! EMR On Broadway will be making his Scottsdale debut this year too! Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Region 5 has wrapped up, and we had a very successful and fun show!

Defined Benefit DEH and Pensions Guaranty DEH – the first offspring of the Scion Arabians breeding program – each earned both a championship and reserve championship prize in their respective country and english classes. Jumping Jack Flash BF won reserve champion in HA country driving and top five (3rd) in amateur show hack. Our new Half-Arab boy, EMR On Broadway, won the HA country pleasure junior horse. And one of our four year olds, American Heir DEH, was awarded for a beautiful debut in the purebred country futurity class – a superb performance for this strapping gelding’s very first time in the show ring!

Scion Arabians’ 2019 foaling season is now complete with the birth of our 6th foal on July 26th – a bay colt by VJ Royal Heir out of Showgirl SKF (by Vegaz). As with all our young stock, we are very excited with this cross. This was our largest foal crop ever and we’re grateful that they all are healthy, strong and very promising! On to next year!

Hello foal #5! Here’s our pretty 2 day old bay filly by Afires Heir out of Heirabaska. Those are really long legs! Thanks so much to Tague Johnson at Lervick Arabians for foaling our our mare while we were away at the Region 5 show and thanks to Dr Mike Howell, Evergreen Equine Veterinary, for your oversight. Our last foal by VJ Royal Heir out of Showgirl SKF is due in two weeks and Scion’s 2019 contribution to the Arabian breed will be a wrap.
